We Are Far away from Modern Football

The Austrians scored the only goal by a beautiful combination at the beginning of the match.

We are far away from modern football. I am sure, individually, Dimitri Tatanashvili would have played better than forwards of Altach. Giorgi Ganugrava also started some good offences but could do nothing as there was no team action.

After the match worldsport.ge asked Soso Pruidze: “Why cannot we play without ball? It was learnt in Paroe Islands, Malta, Luxembourg. They do it badly, but they do it. Why cannot we learn it?

Pruidze’s answer: “This is the most urgent question. Gia Geguchadze is a coach of U-21 team and he also says that we lack tactically educated players. It should come from children’s football. There are some players who want to work on it but nobody listens to them”.

Chikhura played actively only during 20-25 minutes after the goal. The Georgian club did not have a chance to score a goal in the second half.
