Giorgi Katsiashvili (73 kg) won bronze medal on the first day of Budapest Grand Prix.

Katsiashvili beat Alexandru Raicu of Romania, Martin Hojak of Slovenia and Frederik Gourlay of Sweden by ippon-ippon. In semifinal the Georgian lost to Rok Draksic of Slovenia. In repechage Giorgi defeated Igor Wandtke of Germany by ippon.

Irakli Kupatadze and Robinzon Beglarishvili wrestled in 60 kg. Kupatadze won over Marek Pentka of Slovakia and Juan Postigos of Peru by ippon-ippon. In ¼ final Irakli failed to Otar Bestaev of Kyrgyzstan. In repechage Kupatadze defeated Vincent Manquest of France by ippon and then fell to Cedric Revol of France by waza-ari.

Beglarishvili beat Vlad Luncan of Romania but then he lost to Ilgar Mushkiyev of Azerbaijan.

Today Tamaz Kirakozashvili (81 kg), Onise Saneblidze (90 kg), Davit Ozbetelashvili (100 kg) and Guram Kosmenashvili (+100 kg) will wrestle in the name of Georgia.
