Expectation that Georgian tennis player Anna Tatishvili would show resistance against former first seed of the world Ana Ivanovic (Serbia)who is No.19 seed in world’s ranking now did not come true. Georgian tennis player lost this match – 1:6, 0:6.
The match between Tatishvili and Ivanovic was held in the second round of the Notingham tournament (220 000 USD). In case of beating her, Anna would go through 1/8 final and would gain 30 rating points. But as a result of failure she gained only 15 points at this tournament.
According to the final result no need to discuss details. But one interesting thing must be mentioned, 21-year-old Tatishvili started playing well against 23-year-old Serbian player, but after that she lost 12 games in a row.
In spite of failure she still stays in Notingham and tomorrow participates in quarter-final of doubles tournament. She competes with Thai Lertcheewakarn in doubles tournament.
