Georgian U-17 Team Starts Elite Round with the Hosts

Georgian U-17 team, coached by Gocha Tkebuchava, will be involved in elite round on March 12th in Netherlands.

According to the poll, the apprentices of Tkebuchava hit the 3rd group and will face Netherlands, Belgium and Northern Ireland. The Georgian team undergone the preparatory period in Germany and on March 11 went to Netherlands. Tkebuchava had 20 players at the meeting, but due to the fact that only 18 players should be put on the elite round’s list, Erekle Malazonia and Tornike Muzashvili had to return home.

Here is the composition of Georgian U-17 team:

Goalkeepers: Giorgi Chochishvili (“Saburtalo”), Levan Isiani (“Dinamo”).

Defenders: Nika Kurshavishvili, Luka Lochoshvili, Davit Kobouri (all “Dinamo”), Giorgi Berdzenadze (“Torpedo”), Omar Bulukhadze (“Saburtalo”), Tornike Churadze (“Zestafoni”).

Midfielders: Beka Nikolashvili, Giorgi Kokhreidze, Gaga Kukhianidze (all
“Saburtalo”), Vato Arveladze (“Kasimpasa”, Turkey), Akaki Kurashvili (“Dinamo”, Tbilisi), Rati Ardazishvili, Davit Samurkasovi (both “Lokomotivi”).

Forwards: Giorgi Arabidze (“Lokomotivi”), Irakli Bughridze (“Dinamo”), Giorgi Gvasalia (“Wit Georgia”).

First-placed and 7 best second-placed of 8 groups of elite round will hit the final stage of European Championship 2015, which will be 16-team for the first time this year. The host country Bulgaria will be added to them. The tournament will take place in Bulgaria on May 6-22.
