Football tournament "Kutsa Cup" among journalist girls was held at "Irao" stadium in Vake district. "Kutsa" was nickname of famous journalist Mikheil Kakabadze. Mikheil Kakabadze would have become 89 years old this year. He was executive editor of newspaper "Lelo".
Salome Kharatishvili, journalist of "Lelo", is author of this tournament. Georgian Football Federation supported the tournament financially. President of GFF Zviad Sichinava attended the matches.
The tournament was held on October 16 and 7 teams participated in it: radio "Star fm", goli.ge, "Rustavi 2", "Imedi", "Lelo", "1 TV Channel", radio "Jako". "1 TV Channel" which beat radio "Star fm" by penalty shootout in the final, became champion (0:0 and penalty shootout 3:0). Goli.ge took the 3rd place and "Lelo" took the 4th place.
These four teams were gifted with presents and champion was awarded with Cup. The best players of the tournament were awarded:
Nino Gabelia, journalist of "1 TV Channel" and niece of famous Georgian goalkeeper Otar Gabelia, became the best goalkeeper. It is worth mentioning, that Nino was not scored even one goal. Besides that, there was prize for reliable goalkeeper and Diana Surmanidze, representative of "Star fm" won it.
Mari Chelidze from "1 TV Channel" became the best defender. Tatia Akhobadze who is also from "1 TV Channel" became top scorer - she scored 5 goals. Gvantsa Vachadze ("Star fm") became the best player of the tournament.
