Today, on October 22, the supervisory board’s meeting, which was created due to the situation in Georgian Wrestling Federation, took place in the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. On this meeting was discussed the coaching problems of freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.

At the meeting, Nugzar Skhireli and Mikheil Saladze, coaches of freestyle and Greco-Roman teams, announced their resignation.

The supervisory board recommends Luka Kurtanidze, president of Georgian Wrestling Federation, appoint Zaza Turmanidze and Roman Rurua as coaches of freestyle and Greco-Roman teams. Besides, Rurua should be a curator of both teams.

Besides, the Georgian Wrestling Federation is recommended not to take part at the European Cup, which is scheduled in November, because the teams training process is not going on.
