Milton Haig: "The Polish Meeting Brought Us to Higher Level"

The Georgian national rugby union team held two preparation stages for World Cup. Tonight the team is departing for England for the final stage.

We talked to Milton Haig, head coach of the team, about the previous preparation stages and the Polish meeting:

- What outcome has cryotherapy course given?

- As a result of cryotherapy, the rugby players managed to restore energy easily. Now they feel like they have not gone through difficult stages and it was our goal. We had different exercises in Poland. After this stage I can say that the boys are at higher level now.

- How many rugby players will depart for England on August 24?

- The boys will gather at “Shevardeni” base and we will check how recovery process was done. We must be sure nobody suffers from injuries and then we will announce which rugby players will leave for England. The final list will be announced on September 1.

- Our opponents Argentina and Tonga have already announced their compositions. Were there any surprises?

- No surprises. Both of them will play at World Cup with the best compositions. We have watched their matches and we can say Argentina and Tonga are in the best shape.

- At World Cup we are playing New Zealand which will perform “Haka” and what will we do at that moment?

- We will stand proudly and watch their “Haka”.
