A lot of basketball fans could not imagine that the third match would become necessary to hold the third match between these clubs. On the contrary of the prognosis, TSU gained superiority over experienced rival in every component. The match for going through the semi-final was held in Kutaisi. Where “Kutaisi” gained victory and went through the next round.
The match started in favor of guests. TSU gained superiority 5:0 at the beginning of the match, but as a result of Didia and Tsekvava, the score was equalized.  The teams had transitional superiority in the first period, but at the end of the quarter hosts managed to gain five-point superiority- 17:12.
In the second period, as a result of Shermadini and Maisuradze’s good playing, students managed to equalize. It must be mentioned about “Kutaisi” that when Serbian Kohadarevic used to appear on the pitch, offense becoming less effective from “Kutaisi”. After Matiashvili, Serbian basketball player was the most distinguished, but in spite of this, less effective offense from his side was eye-catching.
At the end of the second period, hosts gained definite superiority. The third quarter was less effective for both of these teams. Opponent was focused on defense and finally this quarter ended draw-14:14.
The final period was very interesting. TSU did its best in the last period and but as a result of Matiashvili’s good playing, “Kutaisi” managed to gain superiority again.
Finally, “Kutaisi—2010” convincingly gained right of going through the semi-final. But if it does not improve its playing, beating “Olimpi” with such playing will be difficult for it.
