The Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team ended up the European Championship 2018 with one gold, one silver and 4 bronze medals. On the third day of European Championship held in Kaspiysk city of Russia, champions and prizewinners were revealed in the remaining five weight categories. Five Georgians participated in the competition and three of them reached the podium. Shmagi Bolkvadze, wrestler in 67 kg weight category, lacked a decisive victory to the highest step – the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games lost the final to Artem Surkov of Russia and gained the silver medal. Davit Chkhartishvili (60kg) and Iuri Lomadze (72kg) took the 3rd places.
