Cadets Won European Championship in Finland

The Georgian cadet judo team is a champion of Europe. Today European Championship ended in Vantaa (Finland) with team championship. Mindia Bodaveli and Irakli Tsirekidze’s team proved that they are better than anyone in Europe.

17 countries participated in the team championship. In 1/8 final Georgia beat Azerbaijan 5:0 and in ¼ final the Georgians won over Turkey 5:0. In semifinal Georgia defeated Romania 4:1.

Georgia faced Hungary in final. Lasha Bekauri (60 kg) beat Bence Pongracz by ippon.

Aleko Mamiashvili (66 kg) defeated Sandor Ocsai in a minute and 17 seconds – 2:0. Tato Grigalashvili (73 kg) won over Benedek Toth in three minutes.

The last two meetings would not change anything but Soso Ebilashvili (81 kg) and Gela Zaalishvili (+81 kg) did not lose motivation and beat their opponents. Ebilashvili defeated Roland Goz, Zaalishvili – Richard Sipocz and Georgia won European Championship.
