The Chess Players Were Granted an Honorary Title of Knighthood

The members of the Georgia women’s chess team were granted an honorary title of knighthood by Levan Kipiani, former minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, for the first place at Women’s World Team Championship in China.

These are head coach Elizbar Ubilava, captain Davit Jojua, team members Bela Khotenashvili, Lela Javakhishvili, Salome Melia, Nino Batsiashvili and Meri Arabidze. Kipiani handed each of them, except Khotenashvili who will arrive in Georgia later, the Knight Medals and documents at the airport.
