The Georgian freestyle wrestling team won silver and bronze medals at European Championship in Rome, Italy. World champion Beka Lomtadze won silver medal in 61 kg. The Georgian beat Romania’s Nikolai Okhlopkov 10:0, Moldova’s Leomid Colesnic 10:0 and Azerbaijan’s Intigam Valizade 2:1. In final Lomtadze lost to Russia’s Aleksandr Bogomoev 2:3.

On the third day of European Championship held in Kaspiysk city of Russia, champions and prizewinners were revealed in the remaining five weight categories.
