Nukri Revishvili officially announced that while Ketsbaia is head coach, he will not arrive in the Georgian national team. Ketsbaia called up the goalkeeper of the Russian “Tosno”, however Revishvili said that the club did not allow him leave. It turned out that the thing has been in a different case.

Here is Revishvili’s statement:

“I said that “Tosno” does not allow me leave, but I told this because I did not want create tension in the team before the match against Ireland. Now, when my issue got the other direction, I am forced to tell everything. The conflict between me and Ketsbaia started in summer, when the team was waiting for two friendly matches in Spain. I did not have a visa and that’s why I could not follow the team in Spain.

…Ketsbaia got angry, but it was not my fault that the visa was not ready. He said that I was on hunting. I was on the base of the team and called him to talk about it. Ketsbaia told me that he does not have any business with me and hung up the phone. Now, he called me up again.

…Ketsbaia says in his private conversation that he does not consider him as a player and will not allow him to play for the team. I do not need Revishvili play, I just want him to come on the meeting. Be aware that I am not a tourist.

…I continually proved by my behavior that the team is important for me. Ketsbaia should remember that when we had 10-match unbeaten serie, I was standing at the door of the national team. Then, we all were united, but he poorly appraised me and many other players as well.

…I want people to know the truth. Ketsbaia tells me that he does not consider me as a player. I have decided and officially declare: While Ketsbaia will be the head coach of the team, I will not come”.
