Ataturk Could not Beat "Chikhura"

I will start with Giorgi Rekhviashvili. Today he did unbelievable things at “Ataturk” stadium. Even the Turkish commentators were surprised and they often mentioned his last name. Rekhviashvili who has not held a single match in the national team parried attacks of the Turks.

Let us give lots of thanks to this football player! However, the whole team played well. The Georgians did not lose concentration during the whole 90 minutes.

The first 20 minutes of the second half was the toughest period. At the 11th minute Volkan Sen assisted Fernandao who made a headshot but goalkeeper Maksime Kvilitaia parried it. Then, Fernando Belluschi kicked the ball but Giorgi Rekhviashvili blocked his shot.

“Chikhura” played better and better. The Turks had advantage but the Georgians played very organized. Traore missed a headshot, Fernando missed the target. Overall, “Chikhura” played very confidently.

It must be said that referees did not notice the violation of the rules by the Turks.

At the 73rd minute “Chikhura” had a chance to score goal. Besik Dekanoidze assisted Giorgi Datunaishvili but Behich parried it on corner. It was not the most dangerous moment of “Chikhura”… At the 85th minute Davit Odikadze assisted Lasha Kuchukhidze who assisted Gabedava. Giorgi kicked the ball but defender parried it. The offence went on and Gabedava had another chance but – defender again.

At the last seconds when referee added 3 minutes Enes Unal missed the target. Rekhviashvili did miracles but the Georgians did not play only on parry. The team of Pruidze also played on counter-offences.
