Vakhtang Okruashvili Withdrawn from the Tournament

According to the official site of the tournament, the Georgian heavyweight lost to Rustam Abdrazakov of Kazakhstan but “World Sport” found out that Okruashvili was withdrawn from the tournament by the decision of International Judo Federation.

Perhaps, Okruashvili was withdrawn because he is wrestling in the Georgian team. Everything is settled between the Georgian and the Azerbaijani Judo Federations. Vakhtang Okruashvili has returned to his homeland after the consent of the both sides. Perhaps, there are other formalities. Details may be found out tomorrow.

Astana Grand Prix turned out unsuccessful for the Georgian male team which competed with four sportsmen. Lasha Shavdatuashvili (73 kg) took the 7th place. Ambako Avaliani (81 kg) and Adam Okruashvili (+100 kg) lost the first stage.
