Georgian Tennis Players Hold the First Matches in the Kazakhstan Tournament

Georgian tennis player Giorgi Tsivadze celebrated the first victory at the Shimkent tournament (Kazakhstan, 10 000 USD).

In the first round, he faced Ukrainian Gleb Alekseenko and won 6:3, 7:5. In 1/8 final he plays against the best between German Timon Reichelt and Ukrainian Vladislav Manafov.

Aleksandre Metreveli will hold his match today. His opponent will be Indian Jeevan Nedunchezhian.

In the doubles competition Metreveli and Bulgarian Alexander Lazov overcame Kazakhstan tandem – Chembotaiev and Petrov 6:0, 6:1 and in ¼ final play against Khabobulin and Yevseev (both Kazakhstan).

On the other hand, Tsivadze and Russian Alexander Yarkov face Germans – Reichelt and Shutz.

Recall, that Sopo Kvatsabaia is No.2 seed in the women tournament in Shinkent (10 000 USD). She faces Kazakh Arina Taluenko in the initial round.
