The Wrestling Federation: "The Georgian Team Is not Preparing in the Occupied Crimea"

The Georgian National Wrestling Federation released an official statement regarding the organization’s president Gega Gegeshidze’s comment. According to the statement, the wrestling team will prepare for World Championship not in the occupied Crimea but in Adler.

“The Georgian National Wrestling Federation is explaining that the Georgian national team is not preparing for World Championship at Alushta base. This mistake was made during the conversation. The part of the national team is in Borjomi and the others are outside the country.

The Greco-Roman senior team is preparing for European Championship in Adler and U-23 team will join them today.

The freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling teams have already held meeting in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia, which brought the team first place and 11 medals to our country at European Championship”, - the statement says.

Yesterday Gega Gegeshidze, president of the Wrestling Federation, stated in TV interview that the Georgian team was preparing in Alushta which is in the occupied Crimea.
