Ilias Zouros, head coach of the Georgia national basketball team, thanked fans for their support after the game against Slovakia. The Greek specialist summarized the previous game positively and talked about the upcoming game. According to Zouros, Georgia must play well in defense against Montenegro.

“When we play at Sports Palace, we are with 6 players on the floor – we dedicate this victory to our fans. It was the last home game in this qualifying round and their support was very important. I want to thank our fans. Also, I want to thank my basketball players who did their best. However, it is not the end because we are departing for Montenegro for positive result.

We must play at high level in defense. Otherwise, we will not achieve success. Our main goal is to play at EuroBasket and only one game is left. As for turnovers, when we play home, the boys want to show beautiful game. Of course, it will not happen at the final stage because my philosophy is concentrated game”, - stated Zouros.

Georgia will finish the qualifying round with the game against Montenegro in Podgorica on September 17.
