Georgian top seed Nikoloz Basilashvili lost the first round of the main draw at French Open.

In the qualifying draw the 24-year-old Basilashvili won three matches. In the main draw the Georgian fell to Kyle Edmund of Great Britain 6:7 (4:7), 7:6 (9:7), 5:7, 1:6.

The third set turned out to be decisive. Basilashvili advanced 5:3 but then he lost 4 (!) games in a row.

Another Georgian tennis player will also participate in French Open. Oksana Kalashnikova will play in doubles.
