The Georgian Semifinal and Gold-Silver of Heavyweight

Adam Okruashvili (+100 kg) won gold medal and earned 300 ranking points at Almaty Grand Prix.

Okruashvili held a tough meeting in semifinal. He defeated compatriot Levan Matiashvili.

Before wrestling against Matiashvili, Okruashvili beat Ruslan Abdrazakov of Kazakhstan and Abdullo Tangriev of Uzbekistan.

In final, Okruashvili won over Ushangi Kokauri of Azerbaijan by yuko.

Before semifinal Levan Matiashvili defeated Husein Misri of IJF by ippon and Mohammed Amine Tayeb of Algeria. In repechage final the Georgian beat Faicel Jaballah of Tunisia.

Other four members of the Georgian team also wrestled on the Kazakhstani tatami today but all of them lost the first stage.

Zviad Gogotchuri (90 kg) won over Walter Facente of Italy but then fell to Komronshokh Ustopiriyon of Tajikistan by yuko.

Nodari Beriani (90 kg) beat Karolis Bauza of Lithuania but then failed to Sherali Juraev of Uzbekistan.

Rezo Tsulukidze (100 kg) ousted Sarikhan Ismailov of Kyrgyzstan but then fell to Jose Armenteros of Cuba.

Aleksandre Zaalishvili (100 kg) won over Ramziddin Sayidov of Uzbekistan but then failed to Saidzhalol Saidov of Tajikistan.
